Fighting Hunger Starts with Collaboration

Food insecurity can impact an entire community, and its effects can be felt throughout. At Dash In, we know we can make a huge difference by working together. That’s why we’ve partnered with food banks in each state we operate to help fight hunger.

From September 1 through September 30, every entrée purchased at Dash In will help support the company's commitment to donate up to $400,000 to local food banks across the Mid-Atlantic and North Carolina.

Every entrée purchased at Dash In throughout September will help support our local food bank partners: Capital Area Food Bank, Feed More, Food Bank of Delaware, Maryland Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

“Food insecurity affects families in too many communities, including communities we are proud to serve,” said Julian B. (Blackie) Wills III, President, CEO and Chairman of Wills Group. “Our commitment is to make it easy for our guests to be part of something bigger. Something as simple as stopping at Dash In for a meal creates an opportunity to give back. Together, we can help support the organizations working every day to ensure our neighbors have access to the food they need.”

For us, it’s about more than a donation or a day of volunteering. It’s about showing up and building lasting relationships in our communities. Because when our neighbors thrive, we thrive too. When it comes to fighting food insecurity and providing resources to the communities that need it most, we can make a difference together.

Bringing Awareness to Our Communities

In addition to supporting local food banks, Dash In also strives to raise awareness about food insecurity in our communities. With 1 in 7 households facing food insecurity across the nation, it’s important to understand how a lack of reliable access to nutritious food can affect individuals and families in different ways.

The impact of food insecurity can stretch far beyond hunger, affecting physiological and emotional well-being and sometimes forcing families to make difficult trade-offs when accessing nutritious food, especially for children and seniors.

The signs of food insecurity aren't always visible, and we believe it's important to raise awareness of how families can be affected and understand the best ways to support them.

Supporting Local Food Banks Fighting Hunger

For Dash In, this monthlong effort reflects our longstanding commitment to addressing hunger in the communities we serve. For a decade, we have prioritized taking care of entire communities, not just the people who walk through the doors of our stores.

While our food bank partners are experts when it comes to fighting hunger, our goal at Dash In is to make sure our partners have the resources they need to continue serving local neighborhoods.

With local food banks facing growing demands, we’re calling on our communities and Dash In teams to come together. From September 1 through September 30, Dash In will donate up to $400,000 to support food insecurity efforts across our region. Every entrée purchased throughout the month helps support that commitment.

Together, we can make a difference.

We believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food to keep their lives moving forward, and we invite our communities across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina to fight hunger alongside us.
