Why Choose a Career at Dash In?

Starting a new job doesn’t have to mean starting your career all over again. At Dash In, we believe in building the skills you already have and creating opportunities to learn, grow, and build a career in convenience retail.

What’s it like to build a career at Dash In? Team members have opportunities to grow through hands-on experience, internal training, education benefits, and advancement into leadership roles across the organization.

We sat down with Dash In leaders and team members to hear how they’ve grown in their careers, developed new skills, and found opportunities to take their next step.

“I knew this was more than a job from the moment I applied,” said Brandon Fisher, Corporate Store Area Manager. From the beginning, Brandon saw Dash In as a place where he could build a career, not simply take another job.

Supporting Your Personal and Professional Journey at Dash In

Building a career is about more than finding the right job. It’s about finding a workplace that supports where you want to go next. At Dash In, that means investing in our team members through development opportunities, education benefits, and a culture that encourages growth from within.

Our tuition reimbursement program and GEDWorks partnership give team members opportunities to continue their education while continuing to build their careers. Whether someone is working toward a diploma, pursuing additional education, or developing new skills, these programs are designed to support growth without putting a career on pause.

For our teams, personal and professional growth can happen together. We believe our team members’ personal goals are just as important as their professional goals, and we want to provide resources that help them achieve both.

Those resources can make a meaningful difference. Through Dash In’s tuition reimbursement program, team members like Adriaan van der Walt have been able to pursue their education while continuing to grow at work. Adriaan credits the program, along with scheduling flexibility and support from his leaders helping him balance school and work as a Kitchen Manager.

Discovering New Strengths and Developing Today’s Leaders

Many of our leaders have firsthand experience working in our stores. That experience can become a foundation for opportunities across the organization.

Julie Rieman, Manager of Dash In Compliance, gained hands-on experience working in the field and now brings that perspective to her role in our corporate office. Her experience working alongside store teams gives her firsthand knowledge that she can apply in her work today.

For Lulu, her Dash In journey started in store operations before she moved into a role she hadn’t originally envisioned for herself: Senior Regional Trainer. She credits leaders around her with recognizing strengths that could make an impact beyond store operations.

“I was in operations for a while, and Dash In saw something different in me. They thought that I had more to offer. That I would be a better fit in a different world, where I can have a bigger impact than what I already had.”

Today, Lulu helps develop other team members and gives them the tools they need to succeed, including those who may walk into Dash In looking for their first job and discover an opportunity to build a career.

How Can You Grow Your Career at Dash In?

Career growth at Dash In can take many forms, from moving into store leadership to developing skills that open doors into new roles across the organization.

Brandon Fisher has seen that growth firsthand.

“I know individuals who went from assistant managers to general managers, then supervisors, who are now assistant managers. We really care about developing our people, promoting from within, and helping people become the best that they can be,” Brandon said.

Team members can build on their skills through hands-on experience, internal training, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities to take on greater responsibility. As Brandon shared, it’s possible for someone to begin as a team member and work toward becoming a general manager or providing direct support to store teams from our headquarters.

While we pride ourselves on our development programs, educational benefits, and opportunities for growth, our most valuable asset is our people. By recognizing potential, providing opportunities to learn, and promoting from within, we want team members to be able to see what’s possible for their future at Dash In.

Whether you’re starting out in retail, looking for your next leadership opportunity, or interested in building skills that can take your career in a next direction, Dash In is here to offer hands-on experience and opportunities to shape your own career path.
